Many of you are on this list because you were on the book launch list for Liminal Spaces: Essays on navigating the space between stories of: India and the United States, my family, and myself. Many of you have been on this list for years, reading my newsletter, following my journey as a start-up founder, or even following blogs I started writing in 2015 from my travel days.
I’m excited to share pieces of this book with you and continue to share thoughts and experiences from my life (and to officially do that here on Substack). To be honest, I’ve been aching to share these stories with you. It’s stressed me out that the process to publish a book takes years. I’ve decided to hold off on going through the publishing process and just share them with you. Why wait another few years?
The recurring thought over the last few months has been “these stories need to be told now. now is the time. now is the time”. So here they are, after so many years of holding onto them.
Precious gems from another time that we’ll probably never know, stories from people who have long passed. I feel privileged to have sat on cots, listening to stories in my parent’s villages as a teenager growing up spending summers in India. They’ve shaped me, influenced the woman I am today, and have left a tremendous mark on the non-profit I’ve built and the company I am currently building. You might have heard these stories before or even versions of them because fragments of them live within you.
Thanks for reading :) More to come very, very soon.
Love always,
Rina
